Good Manufacturing and Hygienic Practice

GMP - Good Manufacturing Practice

GHP - Good Hygienic Practice

A set of requirements on production conditions, procedures and staff. It concerns technological procedures, specifications of raw materials, technical documentation and staff training. Principles of GMP/GHP (so-called sanitary codes) are formulated primarily by professional groups. They usually have the character of practical guides that serve to individual producers to finalize the necessary documents for the specific conditions of production and workers education. Good manufacturing/hygienic practices guides can be processed in the form of regulations (eg in the form of operating, sanitation regulations) with a description of the procedures followed.

The principles of good manufacturing and hygiene practices are both the basis and the simplest starting point for the implementation of the HACCP system.
